The sawmill residues used (sawdust, offcuts etc) had limited alternative local uses – previously, much of it was disposed or used minimally. By using these residues for pellets, PT Parawood adds value without affecting food supply or other industries. By creating value for rubberwood beyond latex, we’re bringing stable demand, better incomes, and a revitalized future for local farmers.
